After a break for the Christmas period, we were delighted to welcome pupils from Woodlands High School back for another engaging Carbon/Construction Ambassador session.

This month’s session was led by James from Seer Construction, who gave pupils the opportunity to get truly hands-on as they learned the basics of paving. The activity sparked plenty of excitement, with some pupils even saying they’d be happy to give the Seer team a helping hand on future paving projects around the school.

We discovered a few natural talents on the day, with several pupils rolling up their sleeves and diving straight into the practical work. While some took turns laying paving, others explored their creativity by designing their own paving patterns for imaginary homes. Some experimented with colouring squares to create bold, eye-catching designs, while others used example patterns as inspiration to plan pathways and outdoor spaces.

It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, creativity, and teamwork throughout the session. We’re already looking forward to welcoming the pupils back for our next session next month!
