Cardiff Metropolitan University Visit Fairwater Community Campus

BESL welcomed Cardiff Metropolitan students to the Fairwater Community Campus earlier this month as part of the 'Day in the Life' initiative. 

The third-year students are currently studying the BA (Hons) Architecture and Architecture Design & Technology courses at the Llandaff Campus and the visit provided an insight into life in construction from the initial design inception through to completion.

Presentations were provided by HLM Project Architect, Gina Callaghan and BESL Senior Design Manager and Cardiff Met Graduate Carl Barnett. Both gave insightful discussions on the roles that Architects and Design Managers have on a project, particularly of this size and significance including day to day challenges and how they are overcome.

We wish them well with the rest of their studies and final year projects.
