Transforming St Albans Catholic School

At BESL, we are committed to delivering meaningful social value within the communities we serve. When we learned that St Albans Catholic School was in need of a comprehensive clean and tidy-up to better reflect the high standards of education and care it provides, we were proud to step in and help.

Working in partnership with ICS UK, we arranged for a full programme of specialist cleaning works to be carried out during the school half-term break, ensuring zero disruption to pupils and staff.

The ICS UK team delivered a thorough external clean, including:

• High-level cladding cleaning

• Window cleaning across the site

• Treatment and cleaning of affected brickwork

• Specialist organic growth treatment to help prevent future regrowth

• Cleaning of the bike shelter

• Full cleaning of five pergolas within the school grounds

The use of professional treatments not only restored the appearance of the buildings but will also provide longer-term protection against organic build-up, helping the school maintain its refreshed look.

All works were completed over half term, meaning pupils returned to a noticeably brighter, cleaner, and more welcoming environment. The transformation ensures the school’s exterior now better represents the vibrant and high-achieving community within.
