We were delighted to recently welcome the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Cardiff to Fairwater Community Campus ahead of their fundraising event, ‘A Night in the Cells’, in support of their two chosen charities: Forget Me Not Chorus and Rescue Hotel. What began as a simple request for help became a powerful community-wide effort, as businesses, volunteers and residents united to support Rumney Forum Community Centre and local causes across Cardiff.

BESL/CMB were proud to be invited to the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) Awards Ceremony in Manchester, where our team was honoured with a Bronze Award for the Fairwater Community Campus project in Cardiff.

On Saturday 9th May, 10 members of the CMB Engineering team took on the 109-mile Carten100 charity cycle ride from Cardiff to Tenby in support of Latch Welsh Children's Cancer Charity.

When Rumney Primary School reached out asking for pallets and cable reels, it sparked a fantastic community collaboration that transformed the nursery’s outdoor area into a bright, welcoming and inspiring space for children aged 3 – 5.
